Going Home
Today our first kitten went home to Penny and her family. Alice is fortunate to have such a sweet and loving pack of humans to call her own. Those boys are going to love her, and she is going to love them! Today Alice was sitting on the floor, about six inches away from my son, watching him build his erector set. She sat there for a long time and studied his every move. It was priceless.

We are soooo sad to see her go, and the ones in the days to follow as well, but we are confident that all of the families that are purchasing kittens are going to be really great with their new additions.

Now we are going to be the ones sending emails asking for pictures! :0)

Six Weeks Old
This week the kittens turned 6 weeks old, and they had an eventful week. They all got their first round of shots and first deworming. Everyone did really well.

They really discovered our large cat tree this week. At first, they couldn't really manage it much, but they suddenly got very agile and mastered it in no time. Spencer was the first to the tippy top, and no one else has achieved this feat as of yet. But they spend easily half of their awake time on it, and half of their sleep time too!

They all have completely come into the playing with your siblings stage. So much so that they will even ignore us at times to romp around, wrestle, pounce or plain out attack eachother! But then they surprise us and run up and want love!

Everyone is very healthy, eatting a mixture of canned food and softened kitten kibble. A couple of them even eat Molly's hard food.

It's been a really fun week with them! I can't believe they turn 7 weeks tomorrow!!!!!

Update
We haven't been very good at updating the blog, because the cute little babies have taken a lot of time! They were 4 weeks old yesterday and are so much fun. They run now, with their tails straight up in the air. Too cute for words! The are eatting canned food, as most of their teeth are in now. Such cute little toothers! Molly loves feeding time, because she gets to gobble up canned food, all in the name of "teaching" them how it's done...

Today one of the babies crawled inside of my robe and fell asleep for over an hour. I moved sprinklers, swept the floor, did dishes....and he didn't miss a wink of sleep. At one point I checked to see if he was still breathing because he hadn't moved in so long. I then handed him off to Makayla, my daughter, and he is still currently balled up inside of her robe sleeping!

New Kittens!
Where to start! This week, Molly's kittens were born. Things have been crazy! Molly is such a good mommy! Earlier today, one of the little girls was sleeping a few inches away from her. She kept gently pawing at her until she started moving enough for Molly to tell that she was o.k.; after that, she just kept her paw on her and "held her hand," as we like to say. We took them all to the vet this morning, and he said they looked very healthy. Riley, our Labrador Retriever, adores the kittens! Every time he sees one of them, his tail starts wagging and he tries to give them kisses. Every time I see them, I swear they are bigger than before.

Kitten Count!
We just got back form the vet. Molly got an ultrasound, and the vet counted seven kittens! She said sometimes they miscount, but we should expect 5-7 new little furry friends!
